Silver’s Story – A Little Grumpy Face with a Golden Heart
Hi there! My name is Silver, but my friends sometimes call me Silverado (when I’m feeling extra fancy).
My very first days on earth were a little rough. I was born outside, where my brave mama did her very best to care for me. But the world we were in wasn’t safe for tiny kittens. Thankfully, a kind lady who loves kitties decided we deserved something better. She brought me and my siblings to safety, and instead of going back outside, we started what I like to call 🐯Tiny Tiger Taming School. Let me tell you… I was not immediately top of the class.
I’ll admit it — I can look a little grumpy sometimes😂 It’s just my face! I’m actually a very gentle soul. Humans are still new and confusing to me, and I need time to understand how everything works.
I like to move slowly in new situations. Rushing? Not my style. But here’s the secret: If you are patient, kind, and understand my quiet energy, you will see the very BEST side of me. Once I trust you, I am the sweetest cuddle baby. I melt into my humans and soak up love like sunshine 🌞
I just need someone willing to let me bloom at my own pace. I would do best in a calm home where I can start out in a small, cozy room to settle in and learn the routine. Please don’t rush me — I promise I am so worth it.
I absolutely love other kitties and would do best with a confident cat friend or playful kitten to show me the ropes (with slow introductions, of course). Having a feline buddy helps me feel safe and learn how to “cat” with confidence.
The outdoors, though? No thank you. It’s too scary for me. I need to be kept safely indoors where I can feel secure and protected. After everything I’ve been through, this indoor life is my second chance — and I plan to make the most of it.
My journey hasn’t been perfect, but it led me here — to my very own silver lining.
And maybe… that silver lining is you.🩶
