Bourbon was raised by a feral mom who taught him to be deathly afraid of humans. With a bit of tough love to ensure that any and all good thing in life come from humans, he is starting to second guess his mama's teachings. Bourbon is still building his confidence, so he will need an experienced cat person who is willing to follow socialization practices until he feels safe in his new home and confident with his new people. He is a shy, quiet guy but he's curious and sweet. He loves to play and get treats. He doesn't like to be held but he likes being petted. Start where he can see your hand, on his back hip then work toward his head slowly. He enjoys a good scratch on the back of his head, but will shy if you touch his head and especially his ears too quickly. He gets along well with other kitties but he avoids dogs. PLEASE CONTACT Humane Society Northern Utah for questions about slow integration and continuing socialization if you are unsure. Thank you for considering this sweet baby with tons of potential. She deserves to live in a loving home.
